Matthew Nicoll, Cypher Consulting
Summary of Management Experience
- For two years (85-86) I managed Interact Research & Development
Corporation's business at the Institute of Ocean Sciences.
My duties included initial project discussions
with IOS clients, scheduling of up to 8 programmers, direct
supervision of some contracts, monitoring the quality of work done,
and generally ensuring that good business and personal relations
were maintained.
- As Proprietor of Cypher Consulting, I managed my own standing
offer contracts and sub-contractors working at the Institute of
Ocean Sciences.
- Supervised the work of up to three programmers under various
contracts for the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation
and Highways.
- I managed a small software company for the summer of 1995, while
the owner of the company was away. This involved supervising
two student programmers, and managing client relations during
a problematic new release of a critical PC-based production
government system.
